District 21-5A MVP Keith Whitely has chosen to sign with UNLV (University of Nevada-Las Vegas). He had many offers (including West Virginia and Georgia Tech), but wanted the opportunity to play running back. The bigger schools wanted him on the defensive side of the ball.

Big Maurice Morris chose to sign with Navy (Campus near Baltimore). Navy's running offense mirrors a lot of what La Porte does and Mo should have no problems fitting in quickly as a guard or center clearing the path for Navy's running backs.
Wide Receiver Jahvey Mark signed with Henderson State in Arkansas. Jahvey will be playing wide receiver on the next level. Henderson State's big rival Ouachita Baptist is the school where 2012 LP grad Aaron Nance-Garrett (2 interceptions as a freshman) plays safety.
Big defensive tackle Corey Lee had a big season in 2012 and signed with Incarnate Word in San Antonio. Corey has big potential on the next level as one of the strongest players in La Porte history.
Record setting kicker Eric Medina signed with Texas Southern in Houston. While he caught the attention of many D1 schools, scholarships are not easy to come by for kickers.

Defensive end / linebacker Alex Jones will attend Texas State University in San Marcos where he is considered a preferred walk on. Alex had some other offers, but chose to walk on to a D1 school. I think he will have no problems earning a scholarship.
Some unsigned players that I think will likely be playing college football next include Joey Garcia, Ellis Hutchinson and Malik Graves.
The class of 2014 has many prospects for colleges as well lead by LB Hoza Scott (committed to Texas A&M), OL Michael Leagan, Athlete Vic Holmes, RB Jonathan Lewis and QB Jordan Jackson.
