THE NEW AND IMPROVED 21-5A

Realignment day has come and gone.  As expected we have a new addition to our already loaded District 21-5A.  The Deer Park Deer!  This should make a very exciting season to come!

District 21-5A
Baytown Sterling Rangers
Beaumont West Brook Bruins
Channelview Falcons
Deer Park Deer
La Porte Bulldogs
North Shore Mustangs
Port Arthur Memorial Titans

Enrollment #'s for 21-5A:
North Shore 4601
Deer Park 3917
Baytown Sterling 2440
Channelview 2331
Beaumont West Brook 2327
Port Arthur Memorial 2270
La Porte 2185

La Porte's out of district schedule has not been officially finalized(or made public), but expect to see Clear Springs, Clear Brook, Brazoswood and South Houston on the schedule's first four games.  Also every team will have a bye week in the middle of the district season at some point.

Anyone have an opinion on adding Deer Park to 21-5A?  Sound off.

  1. Glad the LP will be back in a district with the Evil Deer. Kind of strange looking at the enrollment numbers, and realizing it was the 2 smallest schools in the district that got so far in the playoffs last season. On another topic, will any of this year's outgoing seniors end up playing anywhere in college?

  2. La Porte has been the smallest school in their district every year as long as I can remember.

I'm trying to gather as much information as possible on this recruiting mess.

Aaron Nance-Garret signed with the Ouachita Tigers in Arkansas. It is a division 2 school. Aaron is a division 1 player with his size/speed combination.

I hear Blake Turlington signed with a JC. Have not confirmed this.

Chris Hickey is still in play for a division 3 school. I expect to hear something soon.

Chad Sutherland and Cameron Whilley got very little interest, which is very troubling considering their size and how good they were over the last 4 years.

The lack of signings to this point is shocking to say the least. Someone dropped the ball.
