Friday is finally here!! The big game is today and both teams have gone through their final preparations. This will be the 50th game in the La Porte-Deer Park rivalry. The Bulldogs lead the all time series 25-23-1. Here are some headlines this morning:

My advice for tonight: GET THERE EARLY!
The roads that filter into Abshier Stadium are not made for the kind of traffic that comes into this game. A couple years ago it was gridlock when the game was starting.
A sellout crowd is expected. Deer Park was expected to sell out yesterday. There were still some tickets for the La Porte side at the athletic office. I would call and check before you go up there.
Come out and support the dogs!

I'd highly recommend anyone who's going to the game to park as far away from the stadium as possible- we're planning to park around the local business next to the stadium. It may be a pain in the butt walking back and forth through the parking lot, but its gonna be a heckuva lot better than waiting 30-45 min to get out of that death trap known as Abshier Stadium. Go Bulldogs!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take 30-45 minutes to leave the stadium, ever. 4 ways out, it's easy. But, it does look like it was a death trap for the LP Football team, haha.
