Hello everyone,
On my way in to work this morning I heard on the local sports radio station (1560am is my preference) that there will be a showcase for players not signed to D1 scholarships. If you are a player or know a player that would like to earn a scholarship you can sign up to show your skills Saturday February 19. D2 and D3 schools from all over will be there to see what Texas has to offer.
In years past many students have earned football scholarships from this event, some even have signed on the spot. $3million dollars of scholarships were awarded at last years event. Follow this link to sign up and see requirements: http://old.houstontexans.com/news/Showcase.asp
I know there are some players for La Porte that would like the opportunity for a scholarship. Please spread the word. If anyone is already scheduled for this we would love to hear your thoughts and good luck!
