This is no fun to look at for La Porte fans. North Shore High has double the students of La Porte, which plays into the one-sided nature of this series dating back to the 70's. La Porte has not beaten North Shore since 1977 and the close games have been few and far between. North Shore leads the all time series 15-2.

Thank You Keith for FINALLY setting this record straight on this series. People wouldn't believe me when I have told them in the past about this, even though there was a 20 year stretch we didn't play North Shore at all. The Chronicle reported that we beat them in 1997 and I knew that NOT to be true. I was on that last LP team along with Chad Sutherland's dad Bruce that BEAT North Shore in 1977, we won the first 4A outright District Championship that year with a 9-1 record with our only loss to Dobie. LP was Co-Champs in 1976 with a tie to Dobie but DID NOT go to the playoffs because of penetrations loss to Dobie. Which is another misconception that the 1976 team was a playoff team and they were not. We WAS the first La Porte 4A team to make the playoffs under Lundin's watch. How ironic would this be, that Chad's dad being a Senior and Chad being a Senior and BEATING North Shore and the Dawgs can pull off these next 2 weeks and end up being District Champs again with a 9-1 record. PAM will not be an easy task by any means, but I DO believe we will beat them, and the Dawgs will prevail against West Brook and once again have a long awaited District Championship in their hands. That is something else the Dawgs have waited a LONG time on. These next 2 weeks should be fun. This is a monumental day for the Dawgs but there is STILL work to do.
