Cy Woods v. District 18 #2-seed
Katy v. Houston Madison
La Porte v. District 22 #2-seed
FB Bush v. Clear Creek
This is La Porte's bracket in the Division 2 playoffs so far.
District 22-5A will play this weekend to determine who will get their final playoff spot.
So far in 22-5A Deer Park, Dobie and Pasadena Memorial have clinched playoff spots.
Deer Park and Dobie will be in the Division 1 bracket and will have no chance to play La Porte.
Pasadena Memorial faces South Houston on Friday
If Pasadena Memorial wins:
-They go to the other side of the bracket to face Channelview (If they can beat North Shore, not likely) or Port Arthur Memorial (most likely). South Houston would await the outcome of Pasadena-Sam Rayburn Game
If South Houston wins:
-They would be in the playoffs no matter what Pasadena does due to tiebreaker rules and face La Porte in Rd 1
Pasadena plays Sam Rayburn Saturday
If Pasadena wins:
-They clinch the 4th playoff berth and play La Porte if South Houston loses.
If Sam Rayburn wins:
-Pasadena is eliminated
-If Pasadena Memorial wins vs South Houston then La Porte will play South Houston
-If South Houston wins vs Pasadena Memorial then La Porte will play Pasadena Memorial
There are a lot of point differential tiebreakers involved in which I did not explain because I confuse myself when I try to figure them out.
Pasadena Memorial is a heavy favorite to beat South Houston.
Pasadena is a heavy favorite to beat Sam Rayburn.
If these predictions hold La Porte would face Pasadena (would be their first playoff appearance since 1996).
Earliest La Porte would face Katy is round 3 of the playoffs. Round 2 appears to be either Clear Creek from 24-5A or FB Bush.
